About Our Team
Kelly Deering, Owner
Kelly is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor with more than 20 years of experience in managerial accounting and bookkeeping. She is the lead on all client accounts, working in QuickBooks and performing final reviews of all financial information and reports. She also conducts all client meetings.
Kelly launched Summifi in 2016 (formerly Deering Financial Services, LLC) because she loves collaborating with entrepreneurs and small business owners and watching their businesses flourish. She knows they have a passion for their work and want to focus on their core business, not the day-to-day chore of bookkeeping. She is happy to share her accounting experience with her clients to make sure they "know their numbers" and understand their financial position so they can make informed business decisions.
Prior to launching her business, she worked for several years as a Controller and CFO for a large manufacturing and real estate company.
Kelly lives in Southeastern Massachusetts with her family and two pups, Lola and Chewie.
Deanna Parsons, CPA
Deanna is a CPA with extensive experience in accounting and payroll and has worked in public and governmental accounting for the past 15 years. Deanna works remotely from Ohio, where she keeps accounts updated and reconciled in Quickbooks. She is particular about her work and can solve any bookkeeping puzzle. She is super organized with a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh, making her a fantastic addition to the team.
When not updating Quickbooks, Deanna is a busy mom with a young daughter and a sweet puppy named Poppy.
